India can’t be ignorant to china anymore

Chinas People’s Liberation party (PLAs) frequent incursion and transgression also have the aim of marking and extending its territory. Since there is no official boundary decided from both the side.

Prior to 1959, Demchok was no man land that lies between eastern Ladakh and western Tibet. Well no inhabitant was exited in this harsh climatic region. Yet the border is undecided then and now. It is in Kyul village of Ladakh where dwellers tented and unofficially bordered.

It was Tibet-china war of 1959 and Indo China war of 1962 which risen the conflict between India and China. Since then China has been contemptuous to India in the matter of political frontier. Comment: (pal.thiksay@yahoo.co.uk) 

The demarcation of border must calculate for mutual peaceful existence. But sometimes-international undecided border is one of the main strategies of China for encompassing its frontline to India.

It was in the year of 2008, People’s Liberation Party has stretched out its zone in Demchok territory of Ladakh. Although this matter was brought under the notice of Indian army but failed to take action against China’s illegal settlement. And now there is PLA permanent settlement in this area, which is serious matter of concern as well as threat to India.

Moreover, in 2009, PLA opposed 4km completed road construction under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act job guarantee plan MGNREGA from Gongir T. Point to Nelung Chargha, and villagers brought the matter to IA and Indo- Tibetan border police (ITBP) but no any action has done.

In the year of 2010 construction of nomadic shelter under boarder authority development project (BADP) was executed at Gongir T. Point (Ladakh) but after completion of cemented foundation up to 2 feet height, again PLA Chinese authority raised objection as usual and forced to stop work for the day but unfortunately on next day early in the morning despite allowing us to carry on the said works, the IA has brought back our tents and tools etc. and advice us not to move toward Gongir T. Point which is our Kachatia.

Heavy flood in 2013 flood has badly destroyed the pasture area from Gongir T.Point to Nerpey PLA. Irrigation canal construction was executed under MGNEREGA in 2014, as usual the Chinese PLA has again raised objection and the mode of raised objection was different this time as they have this time pitched 6 tents as Pholong Karlep in Chinese side and tents at Nilungon on the Indian territory in the month of October 2014 as stayed there for nine months and fifteen days as PLA Chinese have taken back their tents in there in the months of April 2015 but no any action has been seen from our side.

In march 26th the Indian army has executes soil digging works for pipelines for hot spring to Demchok village to get the water to village for drinking purpose but on the same day PLA has objected to stop work and as usual IA has immediately stopped saying villagers to wait for seven days as work with PLA is in progress, later on noticed that IA is readying to take back the machine and material without informing villagers, as such villagers have approached army engineer authority with request to keep the material for the villages if these are brought for us but nothing has heard and they have taken all the pipes etc.

A resident of zero border village of Demchok said “While executing the earthwork for pipeline, our irrigation canal has hugely damaged and if not repair or reconstruction of irrigation canal, we would not be able to cultivate our agriculture land. All plantaion and fodder field would also be badly affected and who will be compensate we people, we are nomad, a small farmer resident of zero border village of Demchok and have been defending border of mother India and moreover helping hand to Indian security forces by doing regular traditional watching and patrolling with herds and goats from one area to another. But at way in the field of education and health development, we are being ignored”

As we can see the other side of the border clearly, Chinese Liberation Army PLA has been tremendously helping its citizen for constructing roads and building during the past few years they have constructed 16 nos residential doubles storied flat, solar lightening for whole residential area and community hall etc.

Even in 2014 they have constructed double lining blacktopped road n 2014, but our govt. and border security force are silent and playing a role of spectator which is unfortunate. Developmental activities are very important to compete with China and India must tolerates in border hebetate areas for better India tomorrow.
