Skardu is the main city of Baltistan with the wide and long bank of Indus river which is made of many mountain and hills snow are change in the water due to which in summer the water level of Indus river is high due to the temperature of nature in Skardu. It is the largest district of the Northern Areas. 

Gilgit Baltistan is the home of some Highest Mountain in the world which is also known as Himalayas and Himalayan region like India and China it is greatest that Pakistani small area Skardu has the ability to show some highest peak in the world like the Karakoram Range , in which K2 is situated. Skardu is very popular with Mountaineering Expeditions. Its is popular equal with the high altitude trekkers, lies approximately 4,5 hours away from Gilgit. Today we are expressing that  the highest dessert is also in skardu which is small in range it name is sundus (biania) the sundus dessert which is 10 minute from skardu between the Gamba skardu and Skardu city.
